I do understand why there are so very many die hard fans of this series, I really do – from the very start ( Shiver), Stiefvater has had a nice way with the breathless sense of all encompassing teenage love, and she fully delivered the range of firsts – first touch, first kiss, first love, first time. It’s always nice to see a trilogy end well. But can one boy and one love really change a hostile, predatory world? For me, someone who has been something of a reluctant reader of this series, I thought this book was the best of the three.
